The recent worldwide COVID-19 health crisis has had wide-ranging impacts across the entire football industry. Clubs all around the world are dealing with an unprecedented situation, for which they are finding rapid and relevant solutions in order to maintain their daily operations and plan for a post-COVID-19 restart. In the journal’s first edition, we hear from Andrea Radrizzani, Leeds United FC Chairman, who provides general insights into the club’s current status quo by sharing the Yorkshire club’s overall vision and plans for the future. We also speak to Sevilla FC’s Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo, better known as Monchi, who analyses how the pandemic has affected his daily work as sporting director at the Sánchez-Pizjuán, while Olivier Jarosz of the advisory group Club Affairs presents an initial assessment of post-COVID-19 football from a short-, mid- and long-term perspective.
